Finnfoam – Durable and Waterproof
Finnfoam is an extruded polystyrene foam (XPS) thermal insulation material that retains its insulation capacity even in challenging conditions. Its completely homogenous and closed cell structure guarantees excellent insulation characteristics. In addition to thermal insulation, Finnfoam materials make other building stages easier and guarantee high quality, energy efficient results. As Finnfoam structures require no separate vapour barrier or wind protection sheeting, several work phases can be completed in a single installation step. Finnfoam is also completely mildew-proof and has been tested using the most stringent mildew test in the world by the VTT Technical Research Centre in Finland.
Multi-purpose insulation material – from plumbing channels to attic roofs
The entire range of Finnfoam products is suitable for insulating everything from floors, roofs and walls to ground frost protection and many other kinds of additional thermal insulation needs. Due to its ability to withstand moisture, freezing and mechanical load, Finnfoam is an ideal ground frost insulation and floor insulation material. The most important property of ground frost insulation is reliability: the insulation characteristics must not deteriorate over time. Ground frost insulation materials must therefore have proven and documented freeze-thaw resistance. A good example to demonstrate Finnfoam's reliability is the fact that it took first place in Finnish building magazine’s(TM Rakennusmaailma) ground frost insulation material test in autumn 2011.
Finnfoam has been the trusted material of choice for over 30 years in demanding applications such as railway track beds, public buildings, shopping centres and industrial buildings. Finnfoam's range of products also features excellent solutions for business premises, residential buildings and single-family houses as well as reconstruction and infrastructure applications.
