Finnfoam is a family-run business whose roots are embedded into the frozen Finnish soil
Best solutions for all your insulation needs
Over the course of its nearly forty-year-long history, Finnfoam has become one of the leading manufacturers of plastic-based thermal insulation solutions. The roots of our thermal insulation competence are embedded into the frozen Finnish soil. Today, the group is known for quality, product development, and reliability.
Finnfoam's strengths in designing and manufacturing thermal insulations are distilled into robust experience and novel thinking. Finnfoam is able to provide its customers patented products and solutions whose insulation capacity, reliability, and ease of installation are at a level of their own.
The constantly developing family-run business has also increased its production capacity. Today, in addition to Finland, insulation products are also manufactured in Sweden, Lithuania, and Spain.
Durable and functional
It has always been Finnfoam's goal to provide cost-effective thermal insulation solutions to its customers. One of the key objectives in the development of our products has been prolonging their life cycle. For example, the operating life of frost insulation varies greatly between different products. A freeze-thaw resistance test, which is used to reliably estimate the actual operating life of frost insulation, has recently been adopted as a general testing requirement for frost insulation in the industry.
Honesty is the best policy and hard work will create results, but it takes time and patience. We are proud to say that we have succeeded well in this work. Our innovative inventions have led to several patents and successful products, which also enable the international growth of our operation.
We want to be heavily involved in the development of improved construction practices and better national health.

Finnfoam Group
Finnfoam thermal insulation panels are the main product of the Finnfoam group. The panels are made from polystyrene using the extrusion method, which allows for a completely consistent and closed cell structure. Similar materials are internationally referred to with the general term XPS. The highly environmentally friendly production method has been developed by Finnfoam.
Finnfoam's four production lines of different sizes in Salo ensure good, optimized product qualities for each panel thickness. This is also an important component of the cost-effective production and fast deliveries. The capacity of the Salo plant is approximately 1,200,000 m3 of Finnfoam, i.e. XPS insulation products, per year, which is more than twice the amount consumed by the Finnish market.
In 2013, the Salo plant also began to produce gray FF-EPS insulation products, and the production of FF-PIR polyurethane insulation products began in the summer of 2014. In 2011, the Finnfoam group opened a plant in Lithuania with a capacity of approximately 500,000 m3 of Finnfoam per year. In 2012, Finnfoam also opened a plant in Spain, whose capacity is approximately 400,000 m3 of Finnfoam, i.e. XPS, per year. In addition to thermal insulation products, Finnfoam also produces the Tulppa wet room panels.
The plant in Sweden began operating at the beginning of 2018. During the initial phase, the plant will begin producing Finnfoam and FF-EPS products, and the production of FF-PIR polyurethane insulation products will commence during the second phase.
In addition to Finnfoam Oy, the Finnfoam group includes the national subsidiaries Finnfoam AB in Sweden, Finnfoam UAB in Lithuania, Finnfoam Sp. z.o.o in Poland, and Finnfoam S.L in Spain, as well as LED light fixture manufacturer Easy Led Oy.
