The family-run Finnfoam Oy is the largest Finnish-owned thermal insulation manufacturer in the country. We also use domestic specialists in our development operations. Finnfoam Oy's partners include such operators as Tampere University of Technology and VTT.
In the production of Finnfoam we primarily use recycled domestically produced carbon dioxide as the propellant.
Finnfoam Oy aims to systematically develop its production and operation for the good of the environment. Our development operations also demonstrate the innovation that is typical to the company. Significant milestones include the method developed in 1989, which allowed Finnfoam to replace the CFC compounds used in the production of XPS panels with HCFC compounds as the first manufacturer in the world and the breakthrough of 1998 when Finnfoam Oy was able to produce the first Finnfoam thermal insulation panels using carbon dioxide.
