Technical specifications
General properties:
- FF-PIR is excellently suited for thermal insulation of ceilings and walls
- The thermal insulation capacity of the FF-PIR insulation products, whose declared thermal conductivity λD is 0.022 W/mK, enables lesser insulation thicknesses
- FF-PIR is mold-proof and safe in terms of moisture performance
- FF-PIR is suitable for use in both new construction and renovations
Fire performance and chemical resistance:
- The working temperature of the FF-PIR insulation products is -50…+120 °C, but they can temporarily withstand temperatures of up to +200 ˚C degrees
- In a fire scenario, the charring of the surface of the insulation will restrain re-ignition
- The FF-PIR insulation products have a high chemical resistance and they are very resistant to solvents, softeners, and mineral oils
As the FF-PIR insulation is self-extinguishing, it will restrict the fire from spreading and the charring of its surface restrains re-ignition. However, the FF-PIR insulation products cannot be installed directly on to a chimney, for example, without a 20–120 mm gap in between, depending on the solution and the chimney material.
